What the weather is like in Cochrane

Cochrane sits west of Calgary at higher elevation, where the Bow valley comes out of the foothills — which makes it one of the first places to register a chinook and one of the windiest spots in the region. With a chinook running, Cochrane can be several degrees warmer than east Calgary on the same afternoon. Winter systems coming off the mountains reach here first, too.
