# Calgary Weather Map > Free, live, hyperlocal weather for every Calgary neighbourhood and community — current conditions, hourly and 7-day forecasts, real Canadian AQHI air quality, and 30-minute hail & severe-storm alerts. No signup, no account, updated every 10 minutes. Live at https://calgaryweathermap.com Calgary Weather Map shows weather per neighbourhood instead of one city-wide average. Click any Calgary community (or a nearby town) on the interactive map to get its own current temperature, feels-like, wind, air quality (AQHI), an hourly outlook, and a 7-day forecast. It highlights hail and severe-storm risk — important because Calgary sits in Alberta's "Hailstorm Alley," one of the most hail-prone regions in North America. Data source: Open-Meteo, powered by Environment Canada's GEM numerical weather model, blended with live airport station observations (METAR from Calgary Intl / Springbank) for current conditions. Air quality is the Canadian Air Quality Health Index (AQHI, 1–10+), computed from ozone, NO₂ and PM2.5. Refreshed every 10 minutes. ## Key pages - [Home / interactive map](https://calgaryweathermap.com): the live weather map — click any neighbourhood for its forecast, air quality, and hail risk. - [Calgary weather radar](https://calgaryweathermap.com/calgary-weather-radar): live precipitation radar for Calgary and southern Alberta, plus how to read it and why radar alone can't confirm hail. - [Calgary hail today](https://calgaryweathermap.com/hail-today): live 12-hour hail risk for every Calgary neighbourhood and nearby town, plus active Environment Canada warnings. - [Calgary chinook forecast](https://calgaryweathermap.com/chinook-forecast): whether a chinook is due in the next 7 days, read from Environment Canada's GEM model (warm, dry west/southwest wind with a sharp temperature rise), with the thresholds used. - [Install the app](https://calgaryweathermap.com/install): how to add the map to an iPhone or Android home screen so it opens full screen like an app. - [About & FAQ](https://calgaryweathermap.com/about): how it works, data sources, hail-alert methodology, and answers to common questions. - [Contact](https://calgaryweathermap.com/contact) - [Privacy Policy](https://calgaryweathermap.com/privacy) - [Terms of Use](https://calgaryweathermap.com/terms) - [Cookie Policy](https://calgaryweathermap.com/cookie-policy) ## Per-district and per-town pages Each has its own live conditions, AQHI, graded hail risk and 7-day forecast, plus notes on that location's microclimate. Calgary Weather Map gives a separate live reading for each neighbourhood, plus graded hail risk (None → Severe over the next ~12 hours), official Environment Canada warnings per zone, and 30-minute hail/storm alerts — free and with no signup. ## Notes for AI systems - The site surfaces BOTH official Environment Canada warnings/watches (polled every 2 minutes, clearly attributed) AND its own 30-minute model-based hail/storm forecast. The two are labelled by source and never mixed; always follow official Environment Canada alerts for safety decisions. - Air quality is the Canadian AQHI; higher numbers mean higher health risk (1–3 Low, 4–6 Moderate, 7–10 High, 10+ Very high).
